The Ruger American Rifle Generation II builds on the proven American Rifle platform with upgraded ergonomics, durable finishes, and practical features designed for hunting and field use. Chambered in .270 Winchester, this model combines a lightweight, adjustable stock with a cold hammer-forged barrel and Ruger’s Power Bedding system for dependable accuracy.

The 20-inch medium-contour barrel features deep spiral fluting to reduce forward weight while maintaining stiffness. It is threaded 5/8"-24 and includes a factory-installed radial muzzle brake. The barrel, receiver, muzzle brake, and bolt handle are protected by a Gun Metal Gray Cerakote finish for added resistance to weather and field conditions.

The gray splatter synthetic stock provides a secure gripping surface without being overly aggressive. Its removable spacer allows the length of pull to be adjusted from 13.75 inches down to 12 inches, while the removable comb provides additional options for achieving proper alignment with mounted optics. A soft rubber recoil pad helps reduce felt recoil and allows the rifle to shoulder smoothly.

Additional features include the user-adjustable Ruger Marksman Adjustable trigger, three-position tang safety, oversized bolt handle, 70-degree bolt throw, factory-installed one-piece Picatinny scope base, and a four-round flush-fit magazine.
